Starting Point (March 4, 2009)

We have to start someplace, and this is the state of the Garden Constant on the afternoon of March 4, 2009.  

There's not much going on out in the garden during the winter months, although the year slipped a cog several times, bringing temperatures in the 50s through much of January.  It was always understood that the frost would return, putting the month back on track and freezing over whatever progress had been made druing warmer days.

So, the tools and accoutrements stayed where they had been left at the end of the last season.  It is a bad habit of mine, which I mean to correct during the coming year.
