Rain today. Rain yesterday, probably rain overnight and into tomorrow. Too wet to even hike out to the garden, so we're staying inside and watching YouTube videos.

Enjoy.
The original Hesiod lived in Greece during the last half of the Eighth Century BC. He more or less invented didactic poetry (poetry written for moral instruction and edification), probably by accident, since his best-known work is a collection of advice called Works and Days written for his wastrel brother. You can find out more about him here and here.
Free ebook editions of both of Hesiod's surviving books, the aforementioned Works and Days and Theogony live at the Project Gutenberg web site, under the title "Hesiod, the Homeric Hymns and Homerica by Hesiod."
